Santa Claus is coming to town

Stonebridge City Farm charity invites you to visit Santa in his bespoke Grotto this December
Nottingham, East Midlands: Come and join Santa in his one-of-a-kind grotto decked with snow, real
Christmas trees, a handmade fireplace and lots of festive sparkle at Stonebridge City Farm.
Stonebridge City Farm charity and Waltons Garden Buildings would like to invite you to the big reveal
of Santa’s spectacular grotto on Friday 9th December at 11.00am at Stonebridge City Farm,
Stonebridge Road, Nottingham, NG3 2FR. Local MP and patron of the charity, Chris Leslie, will be
opening the event alongside Santa, who will be handing out gifts to spread the seasonal joy.
To help raise money for the charity, there will be a 50p entry fee to see Santa, or a £2.00 donation to
see Santa and receive a present. A group of 49 excited children from Seely Primary and Nursery
School have booked in to see him, and are eagerly awaiting their Christmas visit.
Waltons have worked with our friends at Stonebridge since 2013. The grotto is in fact an 8ft x 10ft
summerhouse which is a Christmas gift from Waltons to the City Farm.
Waltons are donating the summerhouse grotto to Stonebridge to help spread festive cheer and lift
spirits in the community, following the vandalism at the farm earlier this year. The summerhouse will
be used as an activities centre for storytelling and exhibitions after the Christmas period.

Caitlin Olney, Marketing Manager, Waltons Garden Buildings:

“The whole team here at Waltons are well and truly in the Christmas spirit and have been
working hard with Santa’s elves to bring a piece of the North Pole to Nottingham.
Come and make your way up the snowy, Christmas tree-lined path into the twinkling grotto.
Decked with lights, gifts, and a flickering fireplace, you’ll see Santa proudly sitting in his
rocking chair with his sack of presents beside him.
After visiting Santa, parents have the opportunity to take a festive photo of their children
sitting in Santa’s sleigh, which will be parked outside the grotto.”

Ryan Ashby, Spokesperson, Stonebridge City Farm:

“From 11am on the 9th of December, Santa will be visiting Stonebridge City Farm. His doors
will be open every day of the week until 20th December. Come down, and help to spread the
Christmas spirit!”
